CAIRNS BOAT HIRE ECOTOURISM

As a part of Cairns Adventure Group, Cairns Boat Hire takes our commitment to environmental sustainability and ecotourism seriously. We are ecotourism warriors; pledged to maintain and respect the pristine, unique and fragile environment, within which we live and work. We believe conservation starts education. Through adventurous engagement with the natural environment, awareness and connection is built, fostering a desire to help protect it. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of this area and recognise their connection to this cultural landscape. We operate in the Trinity Inlet area, which the Wet Tropics recognise as being a part of the traditional lands of three different Traditional Owner Groups. The Inlet water ways are recognised as Traditional Sea County by Yirrganydji (Irukandji) People. Admiralty Island is recognised as Gimuy Walubara Yidinji People’s Country. Land to east side of Inlet is Mandingalbay Yidinji People’s Country. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and future.

  • Contribute to the appropriate conservation objectives of governing bodies.
  • Ensure there is no long term environmental or cultural impact from our operations.
  • Reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and improve resilience and adaptation to climate change.
